Filmmakers

Andrew Perreault created Proactive Pictures in 2007. Prior to entering the filmmaking industry, he worked as a civil engineer involved with a diverse set of projects located in Washington, DC. Andrew's initiative and work ethic embody the vision of Proactive Pictures - to realize the inherent benefits of integrating the art and business of filmmaking into a cohesive organization. His passion for film and capital ventures has led him to this opportunity, one combining artistic creativity with a successful business model. A graduate of the University of Virginia's engineering school, Andrew also enjoys renovating homes in DC.

Mark Perreault is an award-winning filmmaker whose directorial debut, "Bureaucracy," screened at festivals throughout the United States and across the Atlantic in Europe. The suspense film won best drama at two international festivals and is now available on DVD. In addition to collaborating in the creation of the book, lyrics, and music for a Boston-based musical, Mark has written scores for many film, television, and commercial projects. He is a graduate of Boston College and began his professional career in the Development Department of the Boston Symphony Orchestra. Mark currently lives in Los Angeles, CA.

Rock Schroeter co-wrote "Bureaucracy" and is an award-winning writer/director of many one-act plays and short films. His documentary "Guys and Dolls” played at South by Southwest, won the Silver Award at the Crested Butte Film Festival, and won Best Short Documentary at the Winslow Film Fest. His mockumentary "Sign Spinning Preparatory Academy" recently won second prize in the Filmstock Film Festival's Revolver Challenge. Rock graduated from the cinema department at San Francisco State University and currently lives in Phoenix, AZ.

Jonathan Edwards holds the record for the longest continous Steadicam shot ever filmed at 105 minutes. He is a trained Steadicam Operator, Camera Operator, and Director of Photography experienced in Film, HD, and on the RED. He graduated from the Los Angeles Film School with honors in Cinematography and also holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics from the University of California, Davis as well as a teaching credential. After a career as a high school math and video production teacher, Jon decided to pursue his dream of becoming a filmmaker. He is currently working in the Los Angeles area on various projects with noteworthy people including DP Dean Cundy, DP Mike Bonvillain, the cast of Days of Our Lives, Trainer Jillian Michaels, ESPN's Steve Mason, Snoop Dogg, and actors Tony Danza, Tom Arnold, Julia Duffy, Scott Thompson, and C. Thomas Howell.

Jay Hoover is a Washington, DC attorney with over twenty-five years experience in private practice as a commercial and corporate lawyer. He has represented businesses ranging from to start-ups to Fortune 500 corporations, and he acts as general counsel for several small-to-midsize businesses. He was most recently appointed as Chairman and CEO of RING Technology Enterprises, Inc. and as managing director of its two subsidiaries, RING Technology Enterprises of Texas, LLC and Parallel Iron, LLC. The companies develop and commercialize high-end data storage and data access technology. Jay brings his legal, management, and business expertise to Proactive, which he advises and supports in all areas of business operations.
